Private 24-Hour ABPM – Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) measures your blood pressure at regular intervals over a 24-hour period, both during the day and at night. It helps provide a more accurate assessment of hypertension, rule out “white coat syndrome,” and adjust treatment if necessary.

Indications

Suspected hypertension, significant variations in clinic readings, symptoms related to blood pressure, evaluation of treatment effectiveness, or screening for nocturnal hypertension.

How the test works

A cuff is placed around your arm and connected to a small recorder. The cuff inflates automatically at programmed intervals (more frequently during the day). You can continue your usual daily activities, but avoid prolonged showers if the device is not waterproof.

Practical tips

  • Keep your arm relaxed during measurements for accurate readings
  • Record any symptoms (dizziness, headaches) in the diary

Results and timeline

After the device is returned, the data is analyzed and a detailed report is sent to your healthcare provider within approximately 3 to 5 business days.
